By interfacing to existing Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS), MAESTRO can get periodic updates of students' current academic standing, including grade-to-date and assignments completed. By comparing these values to a teacher-defined schedule, MAESTRO can calculate the academic progress of each student and identify students who are lagging behind. Using flexible filters, a teacher can request a list of all students more than x weeks or assignments behind, and then send them a template e-mail advising them of their status and suggesting what corrective action is required. Students that are ahead of schedule can also be sent feedback advising them where they are in relation to the course expectations.

Teachers can easily monitor each student to determine whether they are meeting the course requirements and targets, and what action is required to get them back on track. Maestro is able to see problems before they happen, and alert teachers so that they can intervene in time to take corrective action.
